BLACK OWNED MEDIA MATTERS is an industry initiative started by Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman & CEO of ALLEN MEDIA GROUP, LLC. and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN OWNED MEDIA (naaaom.com). It’s core focus is ECONOMIC INCLUSION across ALL sectors of the U.S. business marketplace and most specifically focused on the multi-billion-dollar American advertising industry.

The BLACK OWNED MEDIA UPFRONT 2021 will define “Black-owned media”, how advertisers and their agencies should allocate a minimum of 5% of their annual media budgets to this group and will include presentations from other Black Owned Media companies. This event will provide insights and the next steps that the advertising industry needs to take to create a completely fair and equitable marketplace for everyone. Joined by other Black-Owned Media companies, Byron Allen will lead the forum with his ALLEN MEDIA GROUP programming and ad sales executives.

“BUILDING A MORE EQUITABLE ADVERTISING INDUSTRY TOGETHER” and the BLACK OWNED MEDIA UPFRONT 20121 is the culmination of Allen’s hands-on approach and deep understanding of the media industry and his extensive connection with industry peers. Partnering with AdAge and being Presented by Extreme Reach, ensures an open and transparent dialogue between advertisers and the Black Owned Media community and their agencies. It will foster meaningful partnerships and a cultural exchange of ideas and opportunities.
