26 Feb Byron Allen’s 3rd Annual Oscars Gala Red Carpet Draws Big Stars And Bigger Hearts
Byron Allen hosted his 3rd Annual Oscars Gala viewing party and charity event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and holy hell was the red carpet teeming with legends, darling.
The event, which was thrown by Allen’s Entertainment Studios, was a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, whose work is near and dear to the hearts of everyone with a functioning ticker. It was emotional seeing so many big names come out for this life-saving institution.
Jackeè Harry showed up and showed out, dressed in black and chatty as hell, exuding star power in every strut. Jon freaking Lovitz walked in a classic and expensive tux, clearly enjoying catching up with the cabal.
“It’s just fun seeing everybody, you run into a lot of old friends. You can’t take anything too seriously. It’s fun to get dressed up. But the charity, Children’s Hospital, we take seriously,” he said.
Budding star Nikki Bella, WWE’s two-time divas champion, slayed. She stopped to chat about her E! series Total Bellas with her handsome brother in tow as her date.
David Allan Grier and The Real host Loni Love were the definition of black excellence. The industry vets were spotted working the cameras and generally being 10,000 watt stars.
Broadcast legend Shaun Robinson literally glowed, clearly thrilled to celebrate the presence of black Oscar nominees on the big screen.
“We are at a time when those making the decisions are looking at nominees with a more diverse lens, so that’s very exciting to me,” she said. “There’s so much more to do.”
She also teased a new show she’s starring in, but wouldn’t tell me a damn thing about it, which of course means now I NEED to know what it is. I can’t wait.
The evening was presented by LIFEWTR by Pepsi.
